From June 26th to July 1st, we had the absolute honor of hosting our EYGC consortium partners from Latvia (LJAC) and Lithuania (MENDIZ) here in Oslo for 4 intensive project days!
As the hosts for this mobility, Da Vinci Nordic led the collaborative workshops for our Activity 3 deliverable: the upcoming Guidebook, ‘How to create green workplaces in NGOs and SMEs’. Through cross-border teamwork, we successfully finalized the core chapters, ensuring our Guidebook will offer organizations step-by-step, practical advice on resource conservation, digital hygiene, and actionable ‘Eco-Eureka’ solutions.
To show our partners some real-world Norwegian innovation, we took an inspiring project excursion to SME About Contrasts Oslo. During an exclusive tour and presentation, we analyzed how a modern SME can successfully shift away from pure profit by focusing on:
🤝 Community & Purpose: Operating strongly on the “triple bottom line” (People, Planet, Profit), they act as a community meeting point while prioritizing local economic collaboration.
🧠 Social Sustainability: They champion a truly human-centric workplace environment, placing a massive emphasis on psychological safety and inclusion to combat industry burnout.
♻️ Green Operations: They operate a zero-waste model. By utilizing the cross-utilization of ingredients, they drastically reduce resource waste, and they enforce a strict prohibition on unnecessary single-use plastics.
